What Should I be Looking out for When Buying a Two-Person Whirlpool Bath?
The most noticeable aspect to consider is the length. Baths in the UK are, on average, 1700mm long. This makes it easy to stretch out on your own, but not so fantastic when two are trying to squeeze in.
You want to avoid it feeling snug or as though you’re going to be on top of one another, so you’ll also want to think about the width of the two-person. The wider your tub is, the more spacious it will feel. Anyone buying a whirlpool bath will need to factor this in, especially if purchasing a traditionally built single-end tub that has to sit in against a wall.
You want to ensure a wider tub isn’t going to be extremely close to other fittings like your sink or won’t impede a door or storage unit from fully opening.
If you have precise measurements in mind, you can shop for tubs by length and width here.
Where Should Taps be in a Two-Person Tub?
To avoid arguments over who gets the “good end” of the whirlpool bath, you want your two-person tub to have central taps. This allows you both to control the bath and be able to lie back at either end. Take a look at our brassware to see what taps we currently have in stock.
Also, anyone who loves a good soak in the tub will want to get themselves a Luna bath pillow for added comfort.
Do Two-Person Baths have Handles?
Some baths come with handles pre-installed in the frame. These are usually in the centre of the tub to help make it easier to get up and out.
In cases where your preferred tub doesn’t have handles, you can shop our chrome bath grips, and we can supply them pre-fitted on your behalf.
Can I Adjust the Jets in my Bath?
Some of the tubs will have Omni-directional jets included, while others have affixed jets as standard. In a situation where two are sharing a tub and someone will want jets focussing on the neck and the other needs them on the lower back, upgrading to have directional body jets is a must.
Can I get a Two-Person Freestanding Bath?
Freestanding baths look fantastic, but you’ll need to make sure that a tub for two can fit in your bathroom. Shop our range of quality freestanding baths to see if measurements can meet your requirements.
Can I have a Shower Installed with a Two-Person Bath?
Need your bath to be part of an integrated system? We can help.
We stock a range of shower equipment that includes concealed thermostatic valves and dual head options so you can shower how you like. With these tubs, we always recommend that customers install a shower screen to help avoid spills on the floor and keep the space dry.
Do I Need Anything Special to Keep a Two-Person Bath Clean?
It is recommended that you keep your jet system in good condition to help the bath run without any problems. All you need are some quality whirlpool bath cleaner products to clean the bath after use and you’re good to go.
