Extra Deep
Extra Deep Whirlpool Baths
An extra deep bath is defined as having an internal depth of 450mm and greater. Be aware as some outfits may try and hood wink you by refering to their extra deep baths as those with 450mm external acylic shell measurments. We are big fans of extra deep baths as they are perfectly matched to the fantastic whirlpool systems that we design and build, specifically the Tranquility Pools and Super Lux systems. The deepest bath and you could argue the most luxurious is the RIHO Carolina with an internal depth of 530mm, to put into context these are around 100mm deeper than a regular bath. Please see below for all the extra deep baths we have on offer and do double check when comparing that you are indeep comparing internal bath depth.
It’s hard to beat a good bath. Being able to really sink in and let yourself relax is one of life’s great little treats. One way you can make it better though is by making sure you get in deep and have jets gently massage your muscles.
At Luna Spas we have a small but mighty range of extra deep baths from brands like Carron and Aquaestril. Shop the range today and see if the right whirlpool bath is here for you.
What the difference between a regular bath and an extra deep bath?
80mm to 90mm.
That’s the difference in depth you’ll get from an extra deep bath. It might not seem like a lot, but when you can immerse yourself fully and let the jets do their job, you’ll never look at a regular bath the same way.
A traditional bath will usually have a depth of 450mm, but it can vary. The biggest misconception comes from how some bathtubs are measured. Never measure from the outside panel as it doesn’t reflect true depth.
What’s the deepest bath available?
Aquaestil tubs are the deepest, thanks to how highly durable their acrylic shells are. The strength allows them to carry more weight without any tension.
Are extra-deep baths expensive?
The price usually reflects the size of the tub and the number of jets that bath has. If you were looking for a good priced, reliable deep whirlpool bath then something like the Aquaestil Plane Solo Quantum Whirlpool Bath is one of the least expensive we have on offer and has an integrated 14 jet system.
What should I look out for when buying an extra deep bath?
Height isn’t something you’d usually think about when buying a bath, but we recommend taking it into consideration, especially if your bath is going to be located right beside something like your sink.
The same goes for length. 1700mm is the average bathtub length in the UK, but some bathrooms need a smaller bath to help avoid any obstructions. If you have an exact length in mind, you can always shop by size.
Do deeper baths come in different shapes?
We have a lot of versatility in this range, and it shows with all the different shapes you can get.
You can get a deep bath in the following styles:
- Straight
- Oval
- D Shaped
- Offset
- Left Handed
- Right Handed
What’s the biggest deep bath in stock?
If you have space and are looking to go all out, the Carron Celsius Duo Tranquility Whirlpool Bath is the one to beat. It can easily fit two people side by side and comes in a special Carronite finish for strength and heat retention.
What optional extras do deep baths have?
Directional body jets are popular in these baths as they can help you focus in on certain muscle groups.
Customers also love the option of having LED lights installed to create a serene atmosphere around the bathroom.
