A popular bathroom fashion in recent years has been the removal of bathtubs in favour of large showers or wet rooms, especially in small bathrooms or ensuites where space is limited.

However, clever design has meant that people can now reintroduce baths into their small bathrooms and benefit from the relaxing qualities of a nice hot bath.

P Shaped Baths

A fantastic way of space-saving in your bathroom is by installing a P shape bath.

Rather than having a a seperate bath and shower as you might in a large bathroom, the P shape bath has a slightly rounded end. This allows you to place a shower and have a little extra room to move about as you would in a regular shower.

The rest of the bath is the typical rectangular shape, meaning you can fill the bath and bath horizontally as normal.

The P Shape Bath is an excellent way to combine the luxuries of shower and bath in one tub and is available in many different sizes, allowing you to install the perfect bath for your bathroom.

Corner baths

It's very possible that you have a small bathroom that you think doesn't have enough horizontal space to fit a bath. That may be true if the only types of baths available were rectangular in shape.

However, many people forget about the existence of corner baths, mistakenly thinking they are a piece of luxury that simply wouldn't work in the layout of their small bathroom.

This is simply not the case as there are many different sizes of corner baths.

Squeezing a corner bath into a corner of your bathroom is a great way of making the most of limited space and can offer you a stylish and practical bathing option in a space you previously thought impossible.

Throw in the fact that some corner baths can come with a slight orientation to the left or right, and you've got yourself a solution that should give you some serious thought for your own small bathroom design.

Compact baths

For the ultimate in bathroom space saving, you could get yourself a compact bath that slots into a small space perfectly.

With the appearance and functionality of a standard bath, a compact bath is actually shorter in length than most, with the smallest at 1200mm.

These types of bath are really good at allowing you the luxury of a relaxing bath, but are short enough to squeeze into a small area without looking forced or disproportionate.

A good quality, space saving compact bath is becoming an increasing popular option for those with really small bathrooms who still can't do without a good soak in the tub!
