Why choose a steel whirlpool bath?

Why choose a steel whirlpool bath?

One of the most common materials for the manufacture of whirlpool baths is acrylic due to it's ease of use and ability to retain heat affordably.

However, it's becoming increasingly popular to go back to the days of old and install baths made of steel.

There is something charming and romantic about steel baths and, once they're hot, a enamel-coated steel bath feels amazingly cosy and warm.

A stylish & classic bath

Steel baths are a really good way of creating a centre-piece to your bathroom and making a feature out of something special.

This type of bath looks great as a standalone bath, though steel baths are also available in a range of shapes and sizes.

The design options of gracious curves or minimalist clean lines, means you can get a steel bath that is perfect for your bathroom.

Great for heat retention

Steel is an excellent heat conductor, especially when compared to acrylic. A steel bath will heat up quicker and stay hot longer than it's acrylic counterparts.

This means that you can have a nice soak in the tub for longer without that feeling of discomfort and disappointment once the heat starts to dissipate from the water.

Sturdy construction

Steel is a very strong material that helps give a bath that extra feeling of quality, reliability and luxury.

Not only do they help with good stability for showering, steel baths are much less likely to scratch and chip, leaving you with high-quality bathing for years to come.

Additionally, steel is a non-porous metal which means that you don't need to worry about bacteria and mould forming like they can on alternative materials.

Steel is recyclable

Steel has the advantage over acrylic in that it has the ability to be recycled in the future. This means that rather than going into landfill, once your bath finally reaches the end of it's natural life, it is far more likely to be recycled.

Needless to say, all of our steel baths are manufactured from the highest quality mild steel.
